Create More Mental Space In One Weekend

Your life looks fine on paper. Inside your head, it's 30 tabs open and you can't find the one that's making all the noise.

This is for the version of overwhelmed where you're capable, you're getting things done, and everything still feels like a bit too much, all the time.

The MAKE SPACE Method™ is a self-paced reset that helps you put down the pressure that was never yours, see what's quietly draining you, and build one habit that gives you real breathing room.

Evidence-based, zero shame, no new life required.

When Everything Looks Fine, But Feels Like Too Much

You know the version of overwhelmed where your calendar is full of things you said yes to, but you don't remember choosing any of them. You get through the day, but it feels like you're dragging your nervous system along behind you. And somewhere in there is the quiet thought, “I shouldn't be this tired. Nothing is that wrong.”

Most advice says the same thing: add more. More structure, more discipline, another app to keep up with. But if your glass is already full, pouring more in just makes a mess.

  • A calendar full of things you said yes to, but didn't really choose
  • Telling yourself you'll deal with it once things calm down (they never do)
  • Habits that start strong on Monday and fall apart by Thursday
  • Every solution asking you to add one more thing to keep up with

Introducing

The MAKE SPACE Method™

In one weekend, you'll find what's actually draining you, put down at least one source of pressure you've been carrying, build a habit that survives a bad week, and walk away with a reset you can run again whenever overwhelm creeps back.

A self-paced, repeatable process you come back to whenever life starts to feel too full again.

Created by Noemie Mooney, ACE Certified Health Coach, ICF-trained Behaviour Change Specialist, trained in design thinking at the Stanford d.school.

Here's How It Works

Four modules:

Module One

UNCOVER what's draining you

You start with the Bullshit Audit: an Energy Map across 8 areas of your life, scoring each one on what it gives you against what it takes. The gap between those two is where your overwhelm actually lives, and it's rarely where you'd guess. You come out with a clear, honest picture of your real drains, and why willpower was never the thing that was missing.

Module Two

SUBTRACT the noise

Now you make room. Using the Decisional Balance Matrix and a quick "Should" Test, you separate what genuinely matters from what you're only carrying out of habit, guilt, or someone else's expectations. You name the Borrowed Goals you picked up from family, comparison, or an older version of you, and you let at least one of them go. You leave lighter, with a shorter, truer list of what's actually yours.

Module Three

DESIGN one habit that fits

This is where you build the one thing that holds. You'll meet your Planner self and your Survivor self, and see why habits built for your calm, organised Planner fall apart the moment real life hits. So you design around your Survivor instead: Rooted Routines and an IF/THEN formula that anchor the new habit to something you already do, so it runs without willpower or daily decisions. You walk away with one habit built for the life you actually have, not the one you keep meaning to have.

Module Four

SUSTAIN it through the chaos

Then you make it survive real life. You build the habit in Three Gears, full, low and survival, so a brutal week shrinks it instead of breaking it. And you get the Restart Script for the days it all falls apart: a kind, no-drama way back that skips the guilt spiral. You leave knowing your one habit can take a hit and keep going, which is exactly the part that's failed you every other time.

Meet Your Coach

I'm not coming at this from a wellness bubble. I spent 20 years in corporate, innovation and legaltech in Singapore, and I'm still in it. “Design over discipline” is the actual discipline I trained in, design thinking at the Stanford d.school, and the method points it at the hardest user alive: a real person trying to change their own behaviour on a normal, tired Tuesday.

The tools rest on evidence, not vibes. The way you subtract draws on motivational interviewing and self-determination theory. The way you build the habit uses implementation intentions and behavioural design. None of it needs a spreadsheet or a personality transplant.

I'm against wellness as a performance and optimisation as a second job. I'm for evidence, the boring basics that keep winning, and subtraction before addition.

“I Felt Less Stretched”

I came in thinking I needed a better system or more discipline. What helped most was realizing my week was already full. I let go of a volunteer commitment I'd been doing mostly out of guilt and stopped saying yes to a few things that always ate up my evenings. Nothing dramatic changed, but I felt a lot less stretched. I've actually kept up a quick evening reset most days for the past few weeks, which is unusual for me.

“I Stopped Starting Over”

I was pretty skeptical at first. Usually I get excited about something for a few days and then drop it. One exercise helped me see there were commitments I'd been carrying around without really questioning them. I stepped back from one and, honestly, nobody cared as much as I thought they would. Since then I've been doing a short planning session most Sundays. It's not perfect, but when I miss a week, I just start again.

“I Have More Headspace”

The biggest shift for me was realising how much energy was going into things I wasn't even enjoying anymore. I stopped doing a couple of things that felt more like obligations than choices. I've been noticing I wasn't constantly feeling behind. I started reading for 10 minutes before bed, and somehow that's lasted longer than most productivity systems I've tried. Small change but game changing so thank you!

1 Month of Backstage Access

A certified health coach in your corner, for 1 month, in your own private space.

No scheduling: send me what's actually going on by voice note or message, and get a personal weekday reply within 24 hours, from me, never a template.

Setbacks, busy weeks, travel chaos, the decision you keep circling, the win worth building on, bring the real stuff, and finish the month having made the change, not just planned it.

Trying to Decide?

This is for you if...

  • Your life looks fine from the outside, but inside you're overloaded

  • You've tried planners, trackers and morning routines, and none of them quite hold

  • You're tired of being told to add more to a life that's already full

  • Just the idea of doing less makes you exhale a little

This is not for you if...

  • You want a programme that overhauls your whole life at once

  • You're after a rigid, all-or-nothing system

  • You're not willing to look honestly at what's draining you

  • You're hoping for a quick read rather than a few real changes

Bonus #1 / The Reset Tracker

Your one habit, carried through its first 90 days across three phases: experiment, test, integration. It's built for the weeks that fall apart, so a missed day or a chaotic stretch reshapes the habit instead of ending it. The part most people are missing isn't starting a habit, it's having something hold it steady once the motivation dip hits.

Bonus #2 / The Full Audio Version

The entire method as audio, all 8 lessons as MP3s you can take on a walk, a commute, or a school run. Making space shouldn't mean more screen time, so this lets you do the inner work with your eyes off a screen and your head somewhere quieter. Download once, keep it forever.

Bonus #3 / The Curated Reading List

8 of my essays, each matched to a moment in the method, for when an idea lands and you want to sit with it a little longer. This is the slower, deeper layer: not required to get the result, but there when you want to go past the quick win into why any of this actually works.
